Going Non-Chlorine.
Water treated with PristineBlue® feels softer and looks inviting without a chemical taste or odor. It’s gentle to equipment, won’t burn your eyes and won’t bleach your liner or swimsuit.
PristineBlue®’s long-lasting formula eliminates the chore of daily water testing and maintenance.
In swimming pools and spas, many complain about the chemical odor and the taste of chlorinated water. Special precautions have to be taken to transport, handle and store chlorine safely. Chlorine dissipates quickly and therefore requires vigilant testing and maintenance. Swimmers can develop reactions to chloramines, which are chlorine by-products, ranging from skin irritation to respiratory problems. Some research studies have even linked chlorine use in indoor pools to asthma!
PristineBlue®, while protecting against bacteria and algae, is non-bleaching and safer to store and handle. Instead of testing and adding chlorine several times a week or even daily, PristineBlue® requires attention just once a week or once every two weeks. PristineBlue® stays active indefinitely and can be used from season to season if stored in a closed container at a temperature above 32 degrees Fahrenheit. If PristineBlue® freezes, product separation will occur and it won't be effective against algae and bacteria in your pool.
POOL
With PristineBlue®, you’ll follow the simple maintenance program just once every two weeks. PristineBlue® is perhaps the most cost-effective way to treat your pool because every drop of PristineBlue® goes to work controlling algae and suppressing bacteria. PristineBlue® doesn’t dissipate or degrade in sunlight like chlorine. Its levels are reduced only as it works against algae and bacteria in your water.
SPAS & HOT TUBS
With PristineBlue® in your spa, you can relax with the knowledge that water is being treated without the effects of chlorine or bromine. The same application in Pools applies to Spas.
Ozone technology has expanded into the spa market and gained popularity in recent years. Most new spas come equipped with an ozonator either as an option or a standard feature. Ozonators instantly disinfect the water as it passes through the ozonating device and generally do a great job. Many spa owners find that using an ozonator helps keep the water clear and fresh-smelling.
A weakness of ozonators, though, is that they don’t provide residual, or on-going, protection against bacteria. They aren’t effective when the water isn’t circulating through them, and the ozone has very short term effects on the water it has disinfected.
PristineBlue® is the perfect complement to an ozonator. While the ozone does a great job killing bacteria quickly, PristineBlue® makes sure it stays away by providing long-lasting protection, even when the spa isn’t circulating.
Avoid overdosing with PristineBlue® by taking the following precautions:
1. Don’t test or add PristineBlue® more often than once every two weeks.
2. Make sure you know the volume of your pool. Overestimating the volume can cause you to add too many chemicals.
3. Measure the PristineBlue® when you add it. Don’t just pour it in straight from the bottle.
